John
C. Baumann received his A.B. Degree in economics
(Magna cum Laude) from Princeton University in
1973 and his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School
in
1977. He completed an internship in internal medicine
at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1978,
a residency and chief residency in radiation oncology
at Harvard Medical School's Joint Center for Radiation
Therapy from 1980-1981, and a fellowship in radiation
oncology at Harvard Medical School from 1978-1981.He
was certified by the National Board of Medical
Examiners
in 1978 and by the American Board of Radiology
in therapeutic radiology in 1981.
From 1981-1985, Dr. Baumann
was appointed the chief of radiation oncology at
the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the associate program director of the
Joint Radiation Oncology Residency Training Program
of the USUHS affiliated hospitals,
a member of the Radiotherapy Committee of the Gynecologic Oncology Group,
a member of the Radiology Advisory Medical Team
of
the Department of Defense, and the
consultant to the Surgeon General of the United States in radiation oncology.
Dr. Baumann has been a member
of Princeton Radiology Associates and the director
of radiation oncology at the Medical Center at Princeton since 1985, and
has served terms as secretary, treasurer, vice-president, and president
of the Medical
and Dental Staff at MCP since 1993.
Dr. Baumann is a member
of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology
and Oncology, American College of Radiology, American Society of Clinical
Oncology,
Academy of Medicine of New Jersey, Mercer County Medical Society, and
New Jersey State Medical Society.
